Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American author and designer who has won numerous awards for her work. She is a proponent of animal rights. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway '72 are some of her most famous movies. The desire to become an artist was influenced by her family background in the New York family of artists. The first job she had was a photo assistant. She then moved on to modeling and acting. Her first two movies her name was acknowledged as a winner of an award called the Golden Globe Award as Most promising young actress. MacGraw became an international superstar after her film Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as a Golden Globe. After only three movies, she received the title of top female debut at the box office worldwide. In 1972, the Grauman's Chinese Theater engraved her autograph with handprints, foot prints and handprints in 1972. Other films she has appeared in are The Getaway Convoy Players as and the television miniseries The Winds of War. Her autobiography Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw was married three times.
