Lita Rossana Ford is popularly referred to as Lita Ford is a British American musician, songwriter and guitarist who served as the lead guitarist of the all-girl hard rock band The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their music and their rebellious lyrics made them popular in the rock world. The group was not able to gain a lot of attention on the scene in the United States but earned huge recognition abroad, particularly in Japan. Ford's solo metal career had a great success following the group break-up. Her debut solo album was 'Dancin' On the Edge and was followed by the Album Out for Blood. Ford failed to make anything with either of them and remained out of the realm of rock for an entire decade. In 1988, she came back to the scene by releasing a dazzling album titled "Lita. The track "Kiss Me Deadly" and the ballad "Close My Eyes forever" became huge hit songs. Unfortunately, the success of her career was not long-lasting and for several years she disappeared. Re-emerging with albums "Black" which came out in 1995 and "Wicked Wonderland" which came out almost fifteen years later. The year 2016 brought the release of her most recent studio album "Time Capsule". Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend award.
